Over the past two decades, I’ve been fortunate to work with flutists of every age, background, and experience level. My students include members of the region’s top youth ensembles (Portland Youth Philharmonic, Metropolitan Youth Symphony, Western International Band Clinic, and the All-NW and All-State orchestras and bands) and prize winners at the OSAA State Solo Competition and several regional concerto competitions. Those choosing to pursue music professionally have gone on to attend some of the nation’s premier music programs, including the Manhattan School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, and the Hartt School of Music.
I currently teach at Lewis & Clark College, Portland State University, the International Youth Music Camp of Chengdu, China, and privately in SE Portland. Please note that I am happy to give a free trial lesson to prospective Lewis & Clark and PSU students.
